As for the watch on left, I believe it is a fake because on dial it says 300m-1000ft water resistant quarts yet on rear it says Swiss made 330feet / water resistant stainless steel – Swiss army 6000. The dial also completely .

First off, lemme just say, spotting a fake can be tricky. I mean, these guys are getting *good*. You know, the kinda good where you’re like, “Damn, that looks legit!” Then you realize… Nope. It’s a knockoff. Sigh.

One thing I’ve noticed, and this is just from my own poking around (and yeah, I’ve been burned before, don’t judge!), is to REALLY check the details. Like, *super* close. That whole 300m-1000ft thing on the dial compared to the 330ft on the back? BIG red flag, dude. I saw that exact thing mentioned in one of those forums. Like, c’mon! Seriously?!

And the “Swiss Made” stamp? Don’t automatically trust it. I’ve seen fakes with a “Swiss Made” that looked like it was stamped on by a drunk squirrel with a rubber stamp. The real deal is gonna be cleaner, crisper. It’s gonna look *expensive*, you know? ‘Cause it *is* supposed to be!

The thing is, Victorinox, even though they make awesome, rugged watches, they’re not *insanely* priced, right? Which, ironically, makes them a target. Because people think, “Oh, it’s not a Rolex, so no one’s gonna bother faking it.” WRONG! They fake *everything*!

Then there’s the whole movement thing. If you’re brave (and have the right tools), popping the back off (carefully!) can reveal a lot. A genuine Victorinox will have a decent Swiss movement. A fake? Probably some, uh, *questionable* stuff from who-knows-where. It might even look like it was glued together… and it might actually *be* glued together! (I shudder at the thought).

Honestly, sometimes it’s just a gut feeling. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. And if the seller is acting shifty, like they’re trying to hide something, run! Just run away! Like, don’t even look back.

The struggle is real for us watch lovers, I tell ya. You think you’re getting a sweet deal on a Victorinox, and BAM! You’re stuck with a piece of junk that’ll probably fall apart the second you try to change the strap.

Oh, and that whole database thing? The one for Victorinox Swiss Army watches? Yeah, use it! Seriously, that sounds like a lifesaver.
