First off, the good news is, it *is* out there! The internet is a magical place, sometimes. I mean, you can find tutorials on how to knit a sweater for your cat, so finding a rom-com from 2009 shouldn’t be *that* hard.
According to, uh, some internet sources I totally trust (aka, the snippets you gave me!), you can probably find it streaming on the ABC Family website. Which, I gotta say, is kinda nostalgic. Remember ABC Family? It was the BEST. Now it’s Freeform, which is…fine, I guess. But ABC Family had this certain *je ne sais quoi*, y’know?
Anyway, check out ABC Family. Hopefully, they haven’t completely buried it in the depths of their archives.
Then there’s Apple. Apple is always an option. But, let’s be real, are you *really* gonna buy it? I mean, you *could*, but that feels a bit… much? Especially when you could probably, like, find it somewhere else. (Not that I’m encouraging anything, ahem).
Oh! And Decider seems to think they have the scoop on streaming. Decider is pretty reliable, as far as online resources go, they’re kinda cool. So def check them out too!
But here’s my slightly unhinged, completely unverified opinion: I bet you can find it on some lesser-known streaming services if you, ya know, dig around a bit. I’m not gonna name names, but let’s just say the internet has *corners*. Use your imagination (and maybe a VPN. Just sayin’ 😉).
Okay, Okay, that’s enough silliness!
Look, “My Fake Fiance” is one of those movies that is just so bad, it’s good. Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence? Peak 90s/early 2000s dream team. The plot is ridiculously predictable, the acting is… well, let’s just say it’s not winning any Oscars. But it’s fun! It’s cheesy! And sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
