You see people raving about Andrew from Trusty Time, saying his watches are *chef’s kiss*. Like, “Dude, the ZF factory work is amazing!” or “Shipping was surprisingly quick, and packed well!”. Then you get the opposite. Total crickets after payment, or QC pics that look like they were taken with a potato.
I saw one guy, bless his heart, ordered a Rolex Daytona and a Sky-Dweller. Fancy, right? He’s already planning on swapping out the oyster band for a sharkskin strap! Sounds like he’s pretty confident, which is a good sign, I guess. But then you get other stories…
And here’s where it gets messy. There’s this whole thing about the “real” Trusty Time website. I saw one post screaming “SCAM!” with a link to trustytimewatch.io. Now, I ain’t saying it IS a scam, but it definitely raises an eyebrow, you know? You gotta be careful out there, do your research, double-check the address… it’s like buying used cars, but riskier ‘cause you’re talking about potentially illegal stuff.
Honestly, I’m still on the fence. Part of me is tempted to pull the trigger on a decent Submariner rep – the NOOB V9 seems to be a popular choice, if you can even find one anymore with all the factory crackdowns. Some people are happy as clams with their NOOB V9s from Trusty Time, others… not so much.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, buying replica watches from anyone, including Trusty Time, is a gamble. You might get a stunning piece that looks like the real deal, or you might get burned. It’s all a bit of a crapshoot.
